We
have been building competitive, easy to maintain sprint
racing canoes since 1995. Our
beautifully finshed wooden C4 and C15 racing canoes are
fast and famous. Clubs across North America know that
these boats have fine finish, performance and
durability. We know that boats in your club have to
survive in order to finish the race, so Scott builds
them with his well proven construction process.
A
number of clubs have looked to Scott for restoration and
repairs for their racing craft. We take great
pride in our workmanship and our attention to details.
No project boat is too difficult. We have restored all
boats from all levels of disrepair. resin/glass construction, and
high-performance rigs. We enjoy building for the clubs
and can appreciate the effort that goes into raising
money for new boats. With this in mind, we have tried to
keep our price as low as possible without sacrificing
quality.
The
Primary difference between our boats and the traditional
boats is the construction technique we use. Our boats
are designed for the relatively unskilled volunteer in
mind. The hull is a high strength to weight ratio
consisting of a variety of western red cedar strip
planked hull sheathed inside and out with fibreglass
cloth. The fibreglass is impregnated with an epoxy
resin effectively eliminating any water contact with the
wood. The result is a lightweight and strong canoe
that preserves the traditional wood grain and
craftmanship of the canoe. As a finishing touch, vinyl
lettering that identifies the sponsor and your club canl
be applied in a variety of colours.
